The Haenel CR308 appears as a semi-automatic rifle in caliber .308 Win. and represents the 'larger and stronger brother' of the CR variant. The dimensions of the rifle have been adapted to the caliber; otherwise, it is functionally and in handling identical to the Haenel CR gas-operated series. The versatile caliber .308 Winchester promises high performance reserves combined with a universal and widely used cartridge. The barrel lengths of 16.65' and 20' remain identical to the CR223. In terms of weight, the CR308 is around 4.3 kg to 4.6 kg. The semi-automatic rifle is optionally available with a direct trigger 2835N or a pressure point trigger (match trigger) 1720N. Due to the current delivery situation of the manufacturer, individual weapon parts may differ.

Die Haenel CR308 erscheint als Selbstladebüchse im Kaliber .308 Win. und stellt den 'größeren und stärkeren Bruder' der CR-Variante dar. Die Dimensionen des Gewehres wurden dem Kaliber angepasst, ansonsten entspricht es funktionell und im Handling der Haenel-CR-Gasdrucklader-Serie. Das vielfältige Kaliber .308 Winchester verspricht hohe Leistungsreserven kombiniert mit einer universellen und weit verbreiteten Patrone. Die Lauflängen von 16,65' und 20' bleiben wie bei der CR223 identisch. Gewichtstechnisch liegt die CR308 bei ca. 4,3 kg bis 4,6 kg. Die Selbstladebüchse ist wahlweise mit einem Direktabzug 28–35N oder einem Druckpunktabzug (Matchabzug) 16–24N erhältlich. Aufgrund der momentanen Liefersituation des Herstellers können einzelne Waffenteile differieren.
