The torsion lock with kick-down chamber grip combines repeating and manual cocking in one lever and impresses with its ergonomics and speed. The innovative, lightweight FSC-certified wood composite stock in the DS version features a noble characteristic grain, which is as resistant as a plastic stock, and is made from birch wood. All plastic parts of the rifle are also made from a sustainable resin-cellulose composite material.
Sustainability

Ecologically sustainable plastic – all plastic parts of the JAEGER NXT are made from a composite material of cellulose and tree resin. The quality and finish of these bio-plastics match conventional plastics.
The System
The system of the Haenel Jaeger 10 NXT is made from high-quality steel. The Ilaflon coating of the surfaces effectively protects against corrosion. The straight-pull hunting repeater Jaeger NXT is equipped by Haenel with a patented torsion lock. This is a cylinder lock that is set in motion by a bevel gear and locks via the lugs in the barrel. This combines a linear repeating motion with a known and proven lock for repeaters.
Apart from the repeating function, the ergonomically shaped chamber grip has another task: it serves as a hand cocking device. This ensures that the Jaeger NXT provides a cocking process with minimal effort. The lever forces utilized by the hand cocking device allow for a smooth, quiet, and pleasant cocking of the weapon. Rapid relaxation is also possible without having to change or adjust the hand position. Additionally, the repeater features a chamber lock that protects against unintentional activation while stalking. The removable bio-plastic magazine with a patented magazine lock holds 5+1 rounds and provides sufficient firepower. The system is rounded off with a universal Picatinny base mount. The simple and repeatable mounting of the sight optics is ensured by milled grooves.
Trigger and Safety
The Haenel Jaeger NXT is equipped with a direct trigger that releases dry at approximately 1000 g. The safety via a chamber lock is intended to prevent the unintentional cocking of the Jaeger NXT. This lock is located at the rear of the lock and has three positions: far left, the weapon can be opened but not cocked. In the middle position, the weapon can be cocked and fired, but the chamber is locked. A shot releases this, allowing the shooter to repeat. In the right position, the weapon is completely locked: neither cocking nor opening is possible. This would regularly be the position for stalking or tracking.
Stock
The stock of the Haenel Jaeger NXT is made from a composite material of birch wood. The composite material is normally used in yacht construction and therefore has excellent properties for a hunting weapon. The wood is FSC certified and very robust as well as resistant to moisture. A noble appearance of the NXT is combined with the robustness of a plastic stock. Additionally, the material meets high sustainability standards, as no old root wood needs to be used. The classic stock shape with a straight stock back effectively absorbs the recoil of the repeater. The palm swell is shaped for both right- and left-handed shooters. The checkering on the pistol grip and fore-end provides very good grip even in wet conditions.
The environmentally friendly composite stock is also available as a DS stock with a special geometry. It caters to the female physique but generally works well for smaller hand and body sizes. The stock is not only shorter but also straight, with little drop and a high stock back that extends the sight line almost horizontally. The stock cap has been adapted to the female anatomy: a steep pistol grip allows for relaxed operation of the trigger even with small hands.
Barrel with removable I-Sight sighting system
With the Jaeger NXT, Haenel equips a weapon for the first time with a so-called Green Barrel. The Suhl precision barrel is available in caliber .308 Win. and additionally optimized for the most common lead-free projectiles. This, according to Haenel, takes into account the different outer geometry of lead-free hunting projectiles and improves precision.
Alternatively, the Jaeger NXT is available with a high-quality barrel in caliber 30-06 Spring.
The Ilaflon coating of the surface effectively protects against corrosion. A muzzle thread M 15x1 and the in-house removable i-Sight sighting system are standard. They are optimal for the use of sound suppressors, muzzle brakes, and attachment devices.

Das System
Das System der Haenel Jaeger 10 NXT ist aus hochwertigem Stahl gefertigt. Die Ilaflonierung der Oberflächen schütz wirksam vor Korrosion. Der Geradzug Jagdrepetierer Jaeger NXT wird von Haenel mit patentierten Torsionsverschluss ausgestattet. Hierbei handelt es sich um einen Zylinderverschluss, der über ein Kegelgetriebe in Drehbewegung versetzt wird und über die Warzen im Lauf verriegelt. An der Waffe kombiniert dies eine geradlinige Repetierbewegung mit einem bekannten und erprobten Verschluss für Repetierbüchsen.
Abseits der Repetierfunktion hat der ergonomisch geformte Kammergriff eine weitere Aufgabe: Er dient als Handspanner. Hierdurch gewährleistet die Jaeger NXT einen Spannvorgang mit minimalen Kraftaufwand. Die Hebelkräfte, welche sich der Handspanner dabei zunutze macht, ermöglichen ein sanftes, leises und angenehmes Spannen der Waffe. Auch ein rasches Entspannen ist möglich, ohne dafür die Handstellung wechseln oder umgreifen zu müssen. Zudem verfügt der Repetierer über eine Kammersperre, welche die Handspannung auch bei der Pirsch vor ungewollter Betätigung schützt. Das herausnehmbare Bio-Kunststoff-Einsteckmagazin mit patentierter Magazinsperre fasst 5+1 Schuss und liefert ausreichende Feuerkraft. Abgerundet wird das System mit einer universellen Picatinny-Basismontage. Die einfache und wiederholgenaue Montage der Zieloptik wird dank eingefräster Nuten gewährleistet.
Abzug und Sicherung
Die Haenel Jaeger NXT ist mit einem Direktabzug ausgestattet der trocken bei ca. 1000 g auslöst. Die Absicherung über eine Kammersperre soll das unbeabsichtigte Spannen der Jaeger NXT verhindern. Diese Sperre sitzt hinten auf dem Verschluss und verfügt über drei Positionen: Ganz links kann die Waffe geöffnet, aber nicht gespannt werden. In der mittleren Position kann die Waffe gespannt und abgefeuert werden, die Kammer ist aber gesperrt. Ein Schuss gibt diese jedoch frei, der Schütze kann dann also repetieren. In der rechten Position ist die Waffe komplett gesperrt: Weder Spannen noch öffnen sind möglich. Das wäre regelmäßig die Position für die Pirsch oder die Nachsuche.
Schaft
Der Schaft der Haenel Jaeger NXT besteht aus einem Compoundmaterial aus Birkenholz. Das Verbundmaterial findet normal im Jachtbau Anwendung und hat daher hervorragende Eigenschaften für eine Jagdwaffe. Das Holz ist FSC zertifiziert und sehr robust sowie unempfindlich bei Feuchtigkeit. Eine edle Optik der NXT wird kombiniert mit der Robustheit eines Kunststoffschafts. Zudem genügt das Material hohen Nachhaltigkeitsansprüchen, da hierfür kein altes Wurzelholz verwendet werden muss. Die klassische Schaftform mit geradem Schaftrücken nimmt den Rückstoß des Repetierers wirksam auf. Der Handballen ist für Rechts- und Linkschützen ausgeformt. Die Fischhaut an Pistolengriff und Vorderschaft bietet auch bei Nässe sehr guten Halt.
Den umweltfreundlichen Compoundschaft gibt es auch als DS-Schaft mit spezieller Geometrie. Sie kommt der weiblichen Physiognomie entgegen, funktioniert aber generell gut bei kleineren Hand- und Körpergrößen. Der Schaft ist nicht nur kürzer, sondern vor allem gerade, mit wenig Senkung und einem hohen Schaftrücken, der die Visierlinie nahezu horizontal verlängert. Die Schaftkappe wurde dabei der weiblichen Anatomie angepasst: Ein steiler Pistolengriff ermöglicht die entspannte Bedienung des Abzugs auch mit kleinen Händen.
Lauf mit abnehmbarer I-Sight-Visierung
Mit der Jaeger NXT stattet Haenel erstmals eine Waffe mit einem sogenannten Green Barrel aus. Der Suhler Präzisionslauf ist im Kaliber .308 Win. Verfügbar und zusätzlich für die gängigsten bleifreien Geschosse optimiert. Damit trägt Haenel nach eigenen Angaben der anderen Außengeometrie bleifreier Jagdgeschosse Rechnung und verbessert die Präzision.
Alternativ ist die Jaeger NXT mit einem hochwertigen Lauf im Kaliber 30-06. Spring erhältlich.
Die Ilaflonierung der Oberfläche schützt wirksam vor Korrosion. Ein Mündungsgewinde M 15x1 und die hauseigene abnehmbare i-Sight Visierung sind serienmäßig vorhanden. Sie sind optimal für die Nutzung von Schalldämpfern, Mündungsbremsen und Vorsatzgeräten.
