The straight-pull bolt of the Blaser R8 Ultimate X is a stable radial locking bolt that locks directly in the barrel without a rotational movement. It consists of a bolt carrier and a chamber head. In this version, you can choose between a chamber for standard and magnum calibers.

The manual cocking system of the R8 guarantees maximum safety by releasing the firing pin spring. The cocking occurs only immediately before the shot by pushing the cocking slider forward. The chamber handle is optimally placed ergonomically and allows for quick cycling.
