Locking chamber with "Diamond Like Carbon" coating for Blaser R8 straight pull repeater. The black glossy bolt head is DLC-coated and thus has an extremely resistant, durable, and hard surface. This is about 8 times harder than the hardest steel.

The chamber head can be exchanged depending on the respective caliber group, i.e., the caliber used. Blaser distinguishes between different caliber groups: KK, Mini, Standard, Medium, and Magnum.
So, for example, if you switch from a standard caliber to a medium or magnum caliber, you only need to change the chamber head on the Blaser R8 and not the entire bolt.

Verriegelungskammer mit „Diamond Like Carbon“-Beschichtung für Blaser R8 Geradezugrepetierer. Der schwarzglänzende Verschlusskopf ist DLC-beschichtet und besitzt damit eine extrem unempfindliche, haltbare und harte Oberfläche. Diese ist ca. 8-mal härter als der härteste Stahl.

Der Kammerkopf kann in Abhängigkeit von der jeweiligen Kalibergruppe, also dem verwendeten Kaliber, getauscht werden. Blaser unterscheidet zwischen verschiedenen Kalibergruppen: KK, Mini, Standard, Medium und Magnum.
Wechselt man also z. B. von einem Standardkaliber in ein Medium- oder Magnum-Kaliber, braucht man bei der Blaser R8 lediglich den Kammerkopf zu tauschen und nicht den ganzen Verschluss.
