The Stock
The one-piece matte oiled stock of the Mauser M98 Standard Diplomat is made from fine walnut root wood of class 7. The grip surfaces have a fish scale texture that feels pleasant in the hands. It is equipped with a cheek piece and has a rubber cap.
The System
The system of the Mauser M98 Standard Diplomat is machined from a block of special steel, making it robust and durable. Its black plasma nitride finish optimally protects it against dirt and corrosion. The long bolt handle allows for quick cycling. On the top of the system is the easy-to-use 3-position safety. The hinged magazine with a steel bottom is designed for a capacity of 5 cartridges.
The Barrel
The cold-hammered barrel of the Mauser M98 Standard Diplomat bolt-action rifle is also made from special steel. The barrel length is 56 cm and is designed for the caliber 8x57JS. It has no muzzle thread and features open sights.
