On the left and right of the hide, a width of the decoy setup of about 10-20 meters is recommended. It is advisable to leave a free spot of about 5 meters in diameter in the middle... crows like to come in there, and it is also a good place to equip the decoy setup with, for example, a crow carousel! Each flocked decoy crow is delivered with a ground spike and stand (feet) for insertion. The flexible ground spike allows the crow to sway slightly in the wind, thus simulating "movement" in the decoy setup. In hard or frozen ground, the ground spikes can be difficult to insert, so the "stands" should be used here. Adulte Krähen erkennen sofort "billige Atrappen" an Lichtreflexionen oder falscher Haltung. So überfliegen Sie vielleicht in sicherem Späherabstand das Lockbild oder drehen gleich ganz ab. Eine "guter Lockvogel" ist also das A & O bei der Rabenkrähen- und Lockjagd!!! Zudem werden auch anderes Federwild angelockt. Es empfiehlt sich immer mindestens 20 Lockkrähen (besser 30-50 Stück) als Lockbild, kreuz & quer, in gemischte Blickrichtungen und Abständen zu plazieren. Der Abstand zum Tarnschirm sollte ca. 3-5 Meter betragen, die am weitesten vom Schirm entfernte Lockkrähe sollte max. 25 Meter entfernt sein. Links und Rechts vom Schirm eine Breite des Lockbildes von ca. 10-20 Meter. Es empfiehlt sich in der Mitte einen ca. 5 Meter Durchmesser freien Fleck zu belassen...dort fallen die Krähen gerne ein und dies ist auch ein guter Platz um das Lockbild mit z.B. einem Krähenkarussell zu bestücken! Jede Lockkrähe beflockt wird mit Erdspieß und Ständer (Füßen) zum einstecken geliefert. Der flexible Erdspieß lässt die Krähe bei Wind leicht wippen und täuscht somit "Bewegung" im Lockbild vor. Bei hartem oder gefrorenem Boden lassen sich die Erdspieße nur schwer einstecken, darum sollte hier auf die "Ständer" zurückgegriffen werden.
