The Walther PDP Full Size V2 with a new optics mounting platform.
PDP = Performance Duty Pistol
The pistol impresses with its distinctive appearance. Deep loading grooves are found both at the front and rear of the slide. This ensures that the loading process is safe in any weather. The completely redesigned grip features a pyramid-shaped texture (Performance Duty Texture) that contributes to outstanding handling. The grip backs, available in various sizes (S, M, L), are also equipped with this texture. Not too sharp to cause pain during high series or to "snag" on clothing, but aggressive enough to achieve perfect grip at all times. The contoured shape at the end of the grip provides support for the little finger and aids in intuitive pointing.
All models in the PDP series have an ambidextrous slide stop lever, a reversible magazine button, and come optics ready with a milled slide top for various – optionally available – adapter plates for red dot sights from brands such as Docter, Noblex, Meopta, Trijicon, Holosun, Riton, Axion, Leupold, SIG Sauer, Vortex, or Burris Fast Fire series.
The new optics mounting platform is characterized by the modified cut-out for the mounting plate. This is 2 mm longer than before, allowing for the mounting of all currently common red dot sights. Additionally, the new features include recoil studs and larger screw cutouts. This makes it possible to use the original mounting screws from the optics manufacturers for installation.
Those who wish to aim in the "classic" way using sights can do so with GLOCK-compatible sights. A co-witness sighting is possible. The standard sights are adjustable for height and windage out of the box. Additional practical accessories can be attached to the Picatinny rail.
The trigger breaks at the pressure point like glass with a trigger weight of 25 N. The short reset allows for consistent top performance from shot to shot. Together, these features create the conditions for controlled hitting and safe trigger control in any situation and from shot to shot.
The result of the perfected grip angle and the interplay of overall weight, weight distribution, and balance is the excellent pointing behavior. The weapon intuitively follows the line of sight of the target eye.
The stepped chamber ensures significantly better guidance and thus less fouling of the polygon barrel.
Optics Ready
Every PDP is made for red dot sights. Deeply integrated into the slide, the excellent pointing behavior of the PDP can be fully utilized. The simultaneous use of co-witness sights is possible. This allows the dot of the optical sight to be quickly and unconsciously acquired. Thanks to the special design of the slide piece, red dots can be integrated almost seamlessly. Additionally, the special design at the end of the grip provides support for the little finger and aids in the instinctive pointing of the weapon – like an invisible control.
Modularity
The PDP is the most modular and versatile pistol that Walther has ever built: Picatinny rail, optics ready, side-swappable magazine holder, three barrel lengths, and two grip lengths with three backstraps each. This makes it well-prepared for any service use. The open sights of the PDP use common connection dimensions. When choosing sights, the accessory market offers nearly limitless possibilities. With a magazine funnel, the Performance Duty Pistol becomes a performance athlete.
Reliability
In the stepped chamber, the cartridge case is reliably guided. This allows the PDP to extract more muzzle energy from the ammunition and reduces fouling in the weapon. Thus, the PDP shoots better for longer. PDP: "Made to be shot"!

Die Walther PDP (Performance Duty Pistol) Full Size in der Konfiguration mit 5.1 Zoll Lauf ist die konsequente Antwort auf die Anforderungen moderner Schützen. Diese spezielle Variante kombiniert das große Full-Size-Griffstück mit einem verlängerten Gewindelauf, während die Verschlusslänge bei kompakten 4.5 Zoll bleibt. Diese Kombination sorgt für eine überragende Balance, eine exzellente Handlage und die Möglichkeit, Schalldämpfer oder Kompensatoren ohne Umwege zu montieren.
Dank der wegweisenden PDP-Ergonomie und der innovativen "Red Dot Ergonomics" ist die Pistole darauf optimiert, den Zielpunkt beim Einsatz von Optiken intuitiv und blitzschnell zu finden. Das Full-Size-Griffstück bietet dabei eine Kapazität von 18 Patronen und eine satte Handlage, die auch bei schnellen Schussfolgen für maximale Kontrolle sorgt.
Performance Duty Trigger und Performance Texture
Das Herzstück der PDP ist der Performance Duty Trigger (PDT). Er setzt neue Maßstäbe für Dienstpistolen-Abzüge durch ein extrem sauberes Brechen und einen sehr kurzen, fühlbaren Reset. Dies ermöglicht eine Präzision, die man sonst nur von getunten Sportwaffen kennt, kombiniert mit der Sicherheit einer Dienstwaffe.
Die neu entwickelte Performance Duty Texture am Griffstück sorgt dafür, dass die Pistole unter allen Bedingungen – ob mit Handschuhen, bei Nässe oder Hitze – sicher in der Hand liegt. Die Textur ist aggressiv genug für einen festen Grip, ohne dabei die Haut oder Kleidung beim Führen übermäßig zu beanspruchen.
Optics Ready und SuperTerrain Serrations
Jede Walther PDP ist serienmäßig Optics Ready. Die tiefe Aussparung im Verschluss ermöglicht eine niedrige Montage von Rotpunktvisieren, wodurch das gewohnte Visierbild erhalten bleibt. Die markanten SuperTerrain Serrations am Verschluss sind nicht nur optisch ein Statement, sondern bieten durch ihre erhabene Struktur einen deutlich verbesserten Grip beim Durchladen oder bei der Funktionskontrolle.
Der 5.1 Zoll lange Lauf verfügt über ein 1/2"-28 UNEF Gewinde an der Mündung, was diese PDP zur idealen Plattform für taktische Erweiterungen macht. Der 4.5" Verschluss hält das System dabei führig und agil.
Modularität und Sicherheit
