Two-stage Tikka trigger – useful when safety, chassis, and adjustment range really match
The KRG Midas is an adjustable two-stage trigger for Tikka T3, T3X, and CTR. The added value is not in the lowest possible trigger pull weight, but in a deliberately defined first stage, a clear second stage, and a suitably adjusted sear position.
Tikka T3 / T3X / CTR · Top safety
Classification before purchase
The key purchase decision: This shop version has the top-mounted safety lever. According to the existing KRG manual, the rear position is "Safe," the front is "Fire."
Additionally, the existing stock or chassis must provide enough clearance and the correct geometry. KRG guarantees fit for their own Whiskey-3, X-Ray, and BRAVO systems; aftermarket stocks or other chassis are not automatically approved.
Fits well
Tikka T3, T3X or CTR is clearly confirmed
A two-stage trigger character with defined first and second stage is desired
The top safety fits the existing stock/chassis and the operating logic
Fits rather not
Platform or safety variant are only assumed
Foreign chassis without clarified trigger and safety clearance
If the factory trigger already fully covers the real need
Features with practical effect
Two clearly separated stages
First and second stage can be considered separately. This supports a consciously prepared break instead of a purely light direct trigger.
Adjustable trigger shoe position
The forward/back position of the trigger shoe can be adjusted to finger length and grip position. This is often ergonomically more important than a minimal weight change.
Adjustable overtravel
The overtravel can be adjusted. Any change must then be followed by a complete function and safety check.
Top safety as a real selection feature
The position of the safety lever must work mechanically and in the stop; it is not a detail to be checked only after installation.
Limits, disadvantages and avoiding bad purchases
No universal Tikka upgrade: T3/T3X/CTR compatibility does not replace checking the specifically installed stock or chassis. The safety lever needs freedom of movement.
KRG does not support adjustment below about 2.5 lb. Those who only look for "as light as possible" do not use the actual advantage of a controllable two-stage system and increase the risk of an unsuitable setting.
Technical data with practical consequences

Two-stage, adjustable Midas trigger.
Confirmed platform
Tikka T3, T3X and CTR.
Safety
Top safety lever; rear "Safe", front "Fire" according to existing KRG instructions.
Adjustment ranges
First stage, second stage, overtravel and forward/back position of the trigger shoe.
Total range
About 2.5 to over 5 lb according to existing KRG data; below 2.5 lb not supported.
Tool for adjustment screws
2 mm hex key according to existing instructions.
Scope of delivery
Confirmed are the mounted T3 trigger with top safety lever and an M6 × 20 mm hex screw. Firearm, chassis, tools and installation service are not confirmed as part of the scope of delivery.
Installation and safe use
Installation, adjustment and safety check should be carried out by a professional. Always make changes on a fully unloaded system and then systematically check safety function, reset and trouble-free operation.
If function is conspicuous, do not "fine-tune" further, but have cause and fit checked. The trigger is a safety-relevant component.
FAQ
For which Tikka models is this version confirmed? Tikka T3, T3X and CTR. Does this variant have the top safety? Yes. Existing data confirm the top safety lever. Can I reduce the trigger weight arbitrarily? No. KRG does not support adjustment below about 2.5 lb. Does the trigger fit every Tikka chassis? No. KRG guarantees fit for Whiskey-3, X-Ray and BRAVO. Other contact points must be checked separately. What should be adjusted first? Ergonomically, it makes sense to first set the trigger shoe position and operability and only then specifically assess the stages.
Black-Raptor classification
A high-quality two-stage trigger is only an upgrade if the entire setup fits: model, chassis clearance, safety logic and safe adjustment must be considered together. Then the benefit lies in control and reproducibility – not in the lowest possible number.

Zwei klar getrennte Stufen

Was sollte zuerst eingestellt werden?
