The KRG Midas is an adjustable two-stage trigger for Tikka T3, T3X, and CTR. The added value is not in the lowest possible trigger pull weight, but in a deliberately defined first stage, a clear second stage, and a suitably adjusted sear position.

Classification before purchase

The key purchase decision: This shop version has the top-mounted safety lever. According to the existing KRG manual, the rear position is "Safe," the front is "Fire."
Additionally, the existing stock or chassis must provide enough clearance and the correct geometry. KRG guarantees fit for their own Whiskey-3, X-Ray, and BRAVO systems; aftermarket stocks or other chassis are not automatically approved.

Features with practical effect


Two clearly separated stages
First and second stage can be considered separately. This supports a consciously prepared break instead of a purely light direct trigger.


Adjustable trigger shoe position
The forward/back position of the trigger shoe can be adjusted to finger length and grip position. This is often ergonomically more important than a minimal weight change.


Adjustable overtravel
The overtravel can be adjusted. Any change must then be followed by a complete function and safety check.


Top safety as a real selection feature
The position of the safety lever must work mechanically and in the stop; it is not a detail to be checked only after installation.


Limits, disadvantages and avoiding bad purchases

No universal Tikka upgrade: T3/T3X/CTR compatibility does not replace checking the specifically installed stock or chassis. The safety lever needs freedom of movement.
KRG does not support adjustment below about 2.5 lb. Those who only look for "as light as possible" do not use the actual advantage of a controllable two-stage system and increase the risk of an unsuitable setting.
