When gear is not only carried but also needs to be found quickly on the go, organization matters more than a big empty duffel bag. This black three-day backpack combines a main compartment with additional outer pockets, MOLLE webbing, and multiple carrying options.
The specific model is the UTG All Environment MOLLE 3-Day Rapid Deployment Pack with the item number PVC-PC88B. It is explicitly not an adjustable AR15 gas block. The differing, protected shop headline remains technically incorrect; the live item number, handle, product type, and product image are authoritative for this description.
Designed for organization and changing transport modes
The main compartment holds the bulk of the gear. A spacious rear pocket as well as upper and lower front pockets separate flat documents, frequently needed small items, and larger equipment from each other. This way, you don’t have to reshuffle the entire contents every time you access it. The inverted sewn zippers are more protected and, according to archived model data, are less likely to catch on the environment.
MOLLE webbing on the outside expands organization with compatible pouches. This is not a free pass for arbitrary loads: every addition changes the center of gravity, width, and stress on seams and carrying system. The area is mainly useful for light, frequently used modules that shouldn’t lie loose in the main compartment.
Three carrying options for backpack, shoulder, and hand
Padded shoulder straps provide classic backpack use. Two sturdy carrying handles allow vertical or horizontal hand transport. Additionally, a detachable ergonomic shoulder strap is included with the model-specific equipment. This lets you carry the bag differently on a vehicle or in tight passages than with permanently worn shoulder straps.
The padded back area has, according to archived model description, an internal mount for a hydration system and a pass-through opening. However, a hydration bladder is not included. Before use, it must be checked whether the available bladder actually fits in terms of shape, hose routing, and closure; a general liter compatibility is not currently published for this older model.
The most important purchase limit: This is an organized 3-Day-Pack made of polyester, but not a modern trekking backpack with currently documented liter capacity, adjustable back length, or approved maximum load. Anyone planning long hikes with heavy loads needs reliable information on fit and carrying capacity, which UTG no longer provides for this discontinued model today.
Dimensions and weight data with clear source
The exact archived model data state external dimensions of 18 × 13 × 6 inches and a main compartment of 18 × 13 × 4 inches. This roughly corresponds to about 45.7 × 33.0 × 15.2 cm externally and 45.7 × 33.0 × 10.2 cm for the main compartment. The centimeter values are pure conversions of the published inch measurements and not additional manufacturer data.
For d
as weight, two model-specific dealer archives list 3.5 lb or about 1.6 kg. However, PVC-PC88B is no longer listed in the current Leapers, UTG-Europe, and UTG-Taiwan documents; a current primary manufacturer reference for the weight is missing. Therefore, 3.5 lb / approx. 1.6 kg is shown here only as a historical archive entry and not as a currently confirmed manufacturer value.
Our assessment
Its strength lies in the mix of separate access levels, external expandability, and multiple carrying options. For range gear, vehicle, and standby equipment, this structure can be more practical than a single large interior. The hydration system preparation also makes sense if the specific bladder and hose routing are dry-tested beforehand.
The limit is just as clear: “3-Day” describes the product line, not a guaranteed individual supply duration. Needs, clothing, water, food, and allowable total load vary greatly. The model is also discontinued; current data on volume, material denier, water resistance, zipper brand, back length, and maximum load are not provided by the manufacturer. These values are therefore not added or transferred from similar UTG backpacks.
Buy or not buy?
Buy if: you’re looking for a black, divided MOLLE backpack for range, vehicle, or multi-day planned gear, the external dimensions fit, and you want to specifically use backpack straps, shoulder strap, and handles.
Don’t buy if: you expect an AR15 gas block, need a binding liter capacity or max load, require a specific hydration bladder without a fit test, or demand an adjustable back length and currently documented ergonomics for long heavy marches.
Trainer tip
Don’t plan access only during use: Pack the backpack fully once, mark three access levels, and practice them in this order: immediate needs in the upper outer pocket, regularly needed gear in the front compartments, reserve and bulky parts in the main compartment. Then check with the backpack on whether MOLLE attachments or strap ends catch on doors, vehicle parts, and vegetation.
Two more product-specific user tips
Heavy close to the body and centered: Place compact heavy parts close to the padded back panel instead of hanging them outside on the MOLLE webbing. This shifts the center of gravity less backward and keeps the outer pockets free for light quick access.
Test hydration system dry: Insert an empty bladder, route the hose through the opening, and check for kinks and abrasion points. Only then fill and perform a leak test outside the packed backpack; a hydration bladder is not included.
Suitable active alternatives in the shop
UTG 1-Day Situational Preparedness Pack – the more compact product class when less gear and a shorter mission horizon are the focus.
UTG 2-Day Situational Preparedness Pack 36 L – the more understandable choice when a liter capacity listed in the shop is more important.
UTG 24/7 Ambidextrous Scout Messenger Bag – for one-sided shoulder access and less volume instead of classic backpack carrying.

FAQ
Is this item really an AR15 gas block? No. Live item number, handle, product type and image identify PVC-PC88B as a black UTG All Environment MOLLE 3-Day Pack. The differing protected shop headline is not used as a technical product specification.
How big is the backpack? The model-specific archive data states external dimensions of 18 × 13 × 6 inches, approximately 45.7 × 33.0 × 15.2 cm. The main compartment is listed as 18 × 13 × 4 inches.
How much does PVC-PC88B weigh? Model-specific dealer archives list 3.5 lb or about 1.6 kg. Since the discontinued model is no longer listed in current Leapers-/UTG sources, this is a historical archive figure and not a currently primarily confirmed manufacturer value.
Is a hydration bladder included? No. An inner compartment and hose opening are provided. The specific bladder must be chosen separately and checked for shape, hose routing and tightness before packing.
Can additional MOLLE accessories be attached outside? Yes, MOLLE webbing is present on the outside. Accessory modules are not included; their size and position change the center of gravity, external contour and load of the backpack.
Is the backpack suitable for heavy long-distance loads? There is no current manufacturer approval for this: maximum load, adjustable back length and current ergonomic data are not published. For long marches with heavy loads, a backpack with exactly these reliable specifications should be chosen.
