Reticle in first focal plane
The excellent, "dry" characteristic of the R8 trigger is the perfect prerequisite for a precise shot. No time delay from the mental impulse to the controlled hit. For the highest possible shooting precision under all conditions, technical solutions are required, where precision-reducing factors have already been constructively excluded. This applies to both the weapon and scope mounting as well as to the target optics themselves. For this reason, for example, the mounts for the Blaser saddle mount are located directly on the barrel, creating a consistently precise unit of target optics and barrel. The design of Blaser scopes is the consistent continuation of this philosophy. Only with scopes that have a reticle in the first focal plane can the point of impact not change when switching magnification due to design reasons. The reticle is combined with the target image before the moving parts of the zoom system come into play. According to our claim "ZeroTolerance".
QDC – Quick Distance Control
Very long shots while hunting are more the exception than the rule. Nevertheless, there are situations where a shot at very long distances may be necessary. It’s good to be technically equipped to always stay on target and not have to aim higher. The reticle adjustment of Blaser scopes has been specifically developed for this purpose. Its highly precise and simultaneously robust mechanics ensure consistently reliable repeat accuracy.
Parallax adjustment: No unintentional adjustment possible
The side adjustment ring for parallax compensation is also secured against unintentional adjustment. For the distance range of about 100 m, the ring is locked and thus cannot be adjusted unnoticed. Before the shot at greater distances, it is pulled outward and then set to the desired distance range.

Absehen in erster Bildebene
Die exzellente, „trockene“ Charakteristik des R8 Abzugs ist die perfekte Voraussetzung für den präzisen Schuss. Ohne Zeitverzug vom gedanklichen Impuls zum kontrollierten Treffer. Für höchstmögliche Schusspräzision unter allen Bedingungen bedarf es technischer Lösungen, bei denen präzisionsmindernde Faktoren bereits konstruktiv ausgeschlossen sind. Dies gilt für die Waffe und Zielfernrohrmontage ebenso wie für die Zieloptik selbst. Aus diesem Grund befinden sich z.B. die Aufnahmen für die Blaser Sattelmontage direkt auf dem Lauf, wodurch eine konstant präzise Einheit von Zieloptik und Lauf entsteht. Die Bauweise der Blaser Zielfernrohre ist die konsequente Fortsetzung dieser Philosophie. Denn nur bei Zielfernrohren mit Absehen in der ersten Bildebene kann sich die Treffpunktlage beim Wechsel der Vergrößerung bauartbedingt nicht verändern. Das Absehen wird dabei mit dem Zielbild vereinigt, bevor die beweglichen Teile des Zoomsystems ins Spiel kommen. Gemäß unserem Anspruch „NullToleranz“.
QDC – Quick Distance Control
Sehr weite Schüsse auf der Jagd sind eher die Ausnahme, nicht die Regel. Dennoch gibt es Situationen, in denen ein Schuss auf sehr große Distanz notwendig sein kann. Gut, wenn man technisch dafür gerüstet ist, immer im Ziel bleiben zu können und nicht höher anhalten zu müssen. Die Abseheneinstellung der Blaser Zielfernrohre wurde speziell für diesen Einsatzzweck entwickelt. Ihre höchst präzise und gleichzeitig robuste Mechanik sorgt für dauerhaft zuverlässige Wiederholgenauigkeit.
Parallaxeausgleich: Kein unbeabsichtigtes Verstellen möglich
Auch der seitliche Einstellring zum Parallaxeausgleich ist gegen unbeabsichtigtes Verstellen gesichert. Für den Entfernungsbereich von ca. 100 m ist der Ring arretiert und kann somit nicht unbemerkt verstellt werden. Vor dem Schuss auf größere Distanzen wird er nach außen gezogen und dann auf den gewünschten Distanzbereich eingestellt.
