In 1978, Fjäll Räven launched its Kånken backpack – originally designed as a school bag to prevent posture problems in school children. It has since become popular in all areas of life, among people of all ages.
The Kånken No. 2 backpack – here in the colors Deep Patina and Terracotta Brown and in the 16 l size – is no longer made from Vinylon F, but from double-waxed G-1000 HeavyDuty, making it even more durable and long-lasting. G 1000 is lightweight, durable, and resistant to dirt and moisture. The rear interior pocket is made from G-1000 Lite, while the logo, seam details, and handles are made from leather. The shoulder straps are made from robust textile material, which can be re-treated with Greenland wax to extend its lifespan.
The main compartment can be easily packed through the zipper opening. The Kånken No. 2 has two open pockets on the outside and a zippered pocket on the front for keys, papers, and all the accessories you want to have quickly at hand. Equipped this way, it is a reliable companion for school children as well as for adults in professional life, on hikes, and during other leisure activities.
A special feature is the seat cushion, also made from G-1000 HeavyDuty, which can be removed from the rear pocket. Kånken features an adjustable backpack carrying system and two handles, allowing it to be used like a bag. Inside the main compartment, there is a label for the address. The Kånken No. 2 backpack was produced without the use of PFAS. It contains non-textile parts of animal origin.

Der Rucksack Kånken ist seit fast fünfzig Jahren ein Klassiker – nun hat Fjäll Räven ihn als Kånken No. 2, was das Material betrifft, nochmals aufgewertet
1978 brachte Fjäll Räven seinen Rucksack Kånken heraus – ursprünglich als Schulranzen, um Schulkinder vor Haltungsschäden zu bewahren. Mittlerweile ist er in allen Lebensbereichen beliebt, bei Menschen jedes Alters.
Der Rucksack Kånken No. 2 – hier in den Farben Deep Patina und Terracotta Brown und in der 16 l-Größe – ist nicht mehr aus Vinylon F gefertigt, sondern aus doppelt gewachstem G-1000 HeavyDuty, was ihn noch einmal strapazierfähiger und langlebiger macht. G 1000 ist leicht, strapazierfähig sowie schmutz- und nässeabweisend. Das rückwärtige Innenfach ist aus G-1000 Lite, das Logo, Details an den Nähten und Handgriffe sind aus Leder. Die Schultergurte bestehen hier aus robustem Textilmaterial, das zur Verlängerung der Lebensdauer mit Grönlandwachs nachimprägniert werden kann.
Durch die Reißverschlussöffnung lässt sich das Hauptfach bequem packen. Der Kånken No. 2 hat zwei offene Taschen außen an der Seite und an der Front eine Reißverschlusstasche, für Schlüssel, Papiere und all die Accessoires, die sie schnell zur Hand haben möchten. So ausgestattet, ist er Schulkindern ein ebenso zuverlässiger Begleiter wie Erwachsenen im beruflichen Alltag, bei Wanderungen und sonstigen Freizeitaktivitäten.
Ein besonders Feature ist das Sitzkissen, gleichfalls aus G-1000 HeavyDuty gefertigt, das dem hinteren Fach entnommen werden kann. Kånken verfügt über ein verstellbares Rucksacktragesystem und zwei Handgriffe, so dass er wie eine Tasche genutzt werden kann. Innen im Hauptfach gibt es ein Schild für die Adresse. Der Rucksack Kånken No. 2 wurde ohne PFAS-Einsatz produziert. Er enthält nicht-textile Teile tierischen Ursprungs.
