Très impressionnant couteau réglementaire de l’Hospital Corps de l’armée des Etats-Unis avant et pendant la première guerre mondiale.
Belle monture en bronze en forme de S – poignée en bois très costaud avec découpes pour les doigts ( la prise en main est vraiment excellente). TBE.
Très bonne lame , très épaisse, encore bien tranchante à bout rond dans sa dimension d’origine avec superbes marquages de l’US Army. La bombe de réception de l’US Ordnance en 1910 d’un coté – et très net marquage US + numéro de série de l’autre coté de la lame.
Très bon fourreau d’origine – conforme au modèle et en très bon état avec une petite patine. Chape métallique et passant en fer mobile au revers maintenu au fourreau par un piton – construction d’origine sans la moindre oxydation et en parfait état de fonctionnement. Fourreau bien marqué de son fabricant « H.E.K » au revers.
Il a été acheté au Hussard dans les années 1990 – je lui ai laissé cette étiquette de (bonne) provenance .
Très bonne pièce encore en service jusque 1920 environ. Rare et impressionnante addition pour une collection de couteau de la première guerre mondiale. Excellent état.
Arme non classée au CSI mais interdite de vente aux mineurs : CNI obligatoire.
