Colt Defense LLC, originally Colt’s Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Company, is an American firearms manufacturer based in Hartford, Connecticut. The company primarily produces assault rifles, semi-automatic pistols, including the M1911, and revolvers. In 1846/47, Samuel Colt and Captain Samuel Walker designed an improved version of the Paterson revolver, a large-caliber percussion revolver officially called the Model of 1847 Army Pistol by the army. Since Colt did not yet have his own manufacturing facility, these 1100 Walker Colts were produced in the factory of Eli Whitney Jr. in Whitneyville and delivered in June 1847. Colt's main product was the Colt percussion revolver, a variant of the Colt Model 1855 Sidehammer Revolver and rifles; later, the company introduced breech-loading revolvers such as the Colt Single Action Army and more modern revolvers, repeating rifles like the Colt-Burgess Rifle and the Colt-Lightning Magazine Rifles, as well as the Gatling gun. Through collaboration with John Moses Browning, which began after 1890, the development and production of automatic weapons such as machine guns (Mod. 1895) and pistols also started. In 2013, Colt Defense acquired the New Colt Holding Corporation. This consolidated the development, manufacturing, and distribution of firearms under the Colt name for all market segments under one roof.

Colt Defense LLC, ursprünglich Colt’s Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Company, ist ein amerikanischer Waffenhersteller mit Sitz in Hartford, Connecticut. Das Unternehmen produziert vor allem Sturmgewehre, Selbstladepistolen, darunter die M1911, und Revolver. 1846/47 entwarfen Samuel Colt und Captain Samuel Walker eine Weiterentwicklung des Paterson-Revolvers, einen von der Armee offiziell Model of 1847 Army Pistol genannten großkalibrigen Perkussionsrevolver. Da Colt noch keine eigene Fertigungsstätte hatte, wurden diese 1100 Walker Colts in der Fabrik von Eli Whitney Jr. in Whitneyville hergestellt und im Juni 1847 ausgeliefert. Das Hauptprodukt von Colt war der Colt Perkussionsrevolver, eine Variante die Colt Model 1855 Sidehammer Revolver und Gewehre, später brachte die Firma Hinterladerrevolver wie den Colt Single Action Army und modernere Revolver, Repetiergewehre wie das Colt-Burgess Rifle und die Colt-Lightning Magazine Rifles sowie das Gatling-Repetiergeschütz auf den Markt. Durch die nach 1890 aufgenommene Zusammenarbeit mit John Moses Browning wurde auch eine Entwicklung und Produktion von Automatwaffen wie Maschinengewehren (Mod. 1895) und Pistolen begonnen. Im Jahre 2013 erwarb Colt Defense die New Colt Holding Corporation. Dadurch wurde die Entwicklung, Herstellung und der Vertrieb der Schusswaffen unter dem Namen Colt für alle Marktsegmente wieder unter einem Dach vereinigt.
Klassische 1911er Series 80,mit 5“-Lauf, lange Federführungsstange, weiß gepunktete Kimme und schwarzes Balkenkorn. Sehr gute Pachmayr-Gummigriffschalen mit Colt-Medaille, Beavertail-Griffsicherung und originales Colt-Magazin.
