A holster set lower can tip outward when drawing or ride up on the belt. The BGs Elastic Leg Strap places the Mid-Ride configuration lightly on the thigh and gives it extra stability right there, without turning it into a rigid thigh holster.
According to the manufacturer, the elastic leg strap is routed between the holster and Mid Ride Belt Loop. When pulling on the holster, it absorbs part of the movement and keeps the belt attachment more controlled in position.
The black version has a quick release and is intended as an addition for BGs Mid-Ride setups. The strap neither replaces proper holster mounting nor retention adjustment.
Key Features
stabilizes Mid-Ride holsters when drawing
elastic construction for freedom of movement
routed between holster and belt attachment
quick release for opening the leg strap
black version
recommended by the manufacturer for use with the Mid Ride Belt Loop
Our Assessment
The leg strap is not a decorative accessory but solves a specific problem: when the Mid-Ride attachment moves during drawing, the process becomes unsteady. A slight tension on the thigh can reduce this movement and make access more repeatable.
The key is moderate adjustment. The strap should stabilize the attachment but neither dig in nor block movement. For training, range, and dynamic movement, this is more comfortable than an unnecessarily tight setup.
With a high and body-close mounted belt attachment, the strap is usually not necessary. Its sensible use is mainly with BGs Mid-Ride configuration and comparable, clearly fitting attachments.
Practical Tip: Only as tight as necessary
Set the strap loosely while standing and then check walking, kneeling, and sitting. Tighten it only until the holster remains stable during a simulated draw. Too much tension increases pressure on the leg and can unnecessarily restrict mobility.
Features & Construction
The elastic strap wraps around the thigh and is closed with the quick release. In the manufacturer’s shown configuration, the strap runs between the holster and Mid Ride Belt Loop. This way, the stabilization acts directly on the holster attachment.
The elasticity allows limited movement, while the closed strap reduces sideways shifting and riding up of the attachment. The binding manufacturer documentation does not specify reliable measurements for length or width.

Scope of delivery
1 × BGs Elastic Leg Strap in black
Check fit and mounting:
The leg strap must not impair freedom of movement or blood circulation. Before use, check the secure fit of all holster screws, the closed quick
lbolt/action and a free trigger travel with a fully unloaded system.
FAQ
What is the BGs Elastic Leg Strap used for? It stabilizes a lower-positioned holster mount on the thigh and reduces its movement when drawing.
Is the Mid Ride Belt Loop included? No. The Mid Ride Belt Loop and the holster are separate items. Only the leg strap is delivered.
How tight should the leg strap be? Just tight enough to keep the holster stable. The strap must not dig in, impair circulation, or restrict movement when walking and kneeling.
Can I use the strap with any holster? General compatibility with other holsters is not confirmed. The manufacturer recommends it for the BGs Mid-Ride configuration; other setups must be clearly checked for mounting points and secure fit.
Does the leg strap affect holster retention? No. It stabilizes the mount on the leg. The actual holding force of the holster must still be correctly adjusted and checked separately.

Battle Gnome Solutions · Mid Ride Stabilisierung
Was der Gurt praktisch verändert
