Area 419 ZERO Press Accessories
Additional ZERO Turret: set-up dies as a swappable module
For reloaders who want to switch between multiple die sets on their Area 419 ZERO and avoid reconfiguring settings each time. The crucial factor is the correct thread variant: Hybrid or continuous 1-1/4 inch.
Hybrid: 8 stations, of which 4 × 7/8-14 and 4 × 1-1/4.
1-1/4 inch: 8 stations, all with 1-1/4-inch thread.
Changeover: according to the manufacturer about 20 seconds and repeatable under 0.001 inch.
Fits if …
you already use an Area 419 ZERO Reloading Press,
you want to keep die sets set up on their own turret,
you combine standard dies and 1-1/4-inch dies or use only large dies,
you label changeover processes clearly and check after conversion.
Doesn’t fit if …
you don’t own an Area 419 ZERO press,
you are looking for an additional 7/8-14 turret with nine stations,
you confuse the hybrid variant with eight pure 7/8-14 stations,
you expect dies, press, or case holders as part of the scope of delivery.
Black-Raptor assessment
The added value is not in higher work speed at any cost, but in process reliability: a cleanly set up, labeled turret keeps together what belongs together. This is especially useful with multiple calibers or separate sizing and seating steps. Those who use only one die set gain little.
Our clear buying rule: choose Hybrid if standard dies and 1-1/4-inch dies are to be combined on the same turret. Choose the pure 1-1/4-inch version only if all eight stations are actually needed for this large thread.

Practical and instructor tip
Treat every turret like a fixed process module: clearly mark caliber, die sequence, and date of last check. After each turret change, check fit, indexing, and die position before processing material. A reproducible mechanism never replaces work control.
Avoid bad purchases
1-1/4 inch refers to the die thread, not the outer diameter of the turret. The hybrid version does not have nine standard stations but eight mixed stations. For nine pure 7/8-14 stations, the separate standard version is required.
Compatibility, limits, and safety
For the Area 419 ZERO Reloading Press; according to Area 419, ZERO Gen-1 accessories are basically compatible with Gen 2.
After switching to Gen 2, a check of die adjustment may be necessary due to the changed lever kinematics.
Check correct fit of turret and press-fit pull stud before work.
Do not use damaged turrets or pull studs; keep hands, clothing, and foreign objects out of the work area.
Wear safety glasses and follow the instructions of the press and the dies used.
Scope of delivery
One Area 419 ZERO Reloading Press Extra Turret in the chosen thread version,
with pressed-in pull stud and laser-engraved numbered die stations. Press, dies, case holder, and other accessories are not included in the stated delivery scope.
Ordering note: Check existing press and threads of all intended dies before purchase. If unsure, compare die designations and thread specifications; do not select based on caliber alone.

Frequently asked questions
Which variant is right for standard 7/8-14 dies? If 1-1/4-inch dies are used simultaneously, the hybrid is suitable. If only standard dies are used, the 7/8-14 standard version with nine stations, not included here, is the more logical choice.
How many stations does the hybrid turret have? Eight: four stations with 7/8-14 thread and four stations with 1-1/4-inch thread.
How many stations does the pure 1-1/4-inch version have? Eight, all with 1-1/4-inch thread.
Is the turret compatible with ZERO Gen 2? Area 419 lists the previous ZERO turrets as Gen 1 accessories that can be reused with Gen 2. Due to the changed lever kinematics, die adjustment should be checked.
Do dies stay set when changing? The turret allows dies to remain mounted. Area 419 states a repeatability of turret changes under 0.001 inch. Still, a function and setting check is required after each change.
Is the ZERO press included? No. Only the additional turret in the chosen version is offered.
Are dies or case holders included? No. Included are turret, press-fit pull stud, and numbered stations; dies and case holders are required separately.

Hersteller-Nr. 419-ZERO-HYBRID · Shopify/Brownells SKU 100048032
Hersteller-Nr. 419-ZERO-ONEQTR · Shopify/Brownells SKU 100048033
Praxiswirkung
