Wenn der Deckel wieder sauber schließen soll, muss genau dieses kleine Teil zuverlässig arbeiten. Die KX-Boxen sind für draußen gebaut: Auto, Camp, Festival, Garten, Pick-up, Angelplatz. Kalte Getränke, Proviant, Eis, Fleisch fürs Feuer. Damit die Box ihren Job macht, müssen die Verschlüsse kräftig greifen und auch mit nassen Händen bedienbar bleiben. Anwendungstipps aus der Praxis
Vor der Montage alte Befestigungspunkte reinigen und auf Risse oder Verformung prüfen. Verschlüsse nicht verdreht montieren. Der Zug muss gerade auf den Deckel wirken. Nach dem Einbau Deckel mehrfach öffnen und schließen, damit die Spannung sauber sitzt. Bei Sand, Salz oder Matsch die Verschlüsse nach der Tour mit klarem Wasser abspülen. Silikon nicht mit aggressiven Reinigern behandeln. Ein feuchtes Tuch reicht meistens. Wenn die Box lange in der Sonne steht, Verschlüsse regelmäßig auf Elastizität prüfen.
Für wen passt es? Für Besitzer einer Petromax KX25, KX50 oder KX75, die ihre Kühlbox weiter nutzen möchten, statt wegen eines Verschleißteils die ganze Box abzuschreiben. Genau der richtige Ersatzteil-Vibe: reparieren, weiter rausgehen, weiter gute Zeit. Nicht ideal für: Kühlboxen anderer Serien, stark beschädigte Deckelaufnahmen oder Nutzer, die keine passende KX-Box besitzen.
