30 mm · 20 MOA · Cantilever
Vortex Precision Extended Cantilever 30 mm / 20 MOA: Forward offset plus tilt – both must fit your setup This mount combines a 30 mm ring diameter with extended cantilever geometry and 20 MOA tilt. This makes sense if you want to solve eye relief and additional elevation reserve at the same time – unnecessary if your setup doesn’t need either.

Our honest assessment

The forward offset helps position the scope further forward on Picatinny-based setups. The 20 MOA tilt simultaneously shifts the usable elevation range of the optic towards greater distance reserves.
That’s exactly why this mount shouldn’t be bought just because of “20 MOA.” First clarify tube diameter, required build height, objective clearance, eye relief, and actual distance range.

Fits well if … … your scope has a 30 mm main tube.
… you need forward offset for eye relief on a suitable rail.
… 20 MOA tilt makes sense for your planned adjustment range.

Fits less well if … … your optic has a 34 mm or 1 inch main tube.
… you don’t need a tilted mount.
… 40 mm center height doesn’t fit stock line, objective, or head position.

Features and practical effect

20 MOA ti
igung Can provide more usable elevation reserve for longer distances. It does not replace proper ballistics or sufficient internal adjustment range of the scope.

Extended Cantilever Moves the scope forward and can thus solve the eye relief on modern platforms more cleanly than rigid single rings.

30 mm Rings Only for 30 mm main tubes. A similar outer diameter of the eyepiece or objective is irrelevant for this.

40 mm Center Height The optical axis sits 40 mm above the base. This affects head position, objective clearance, and ballistic height over the barrel axis.

Limits, disadvantages and avoiding a bad purchase

20 MOA is not a universal upgrade. At short distances or limited internal adjustment range, an inclined mount can be unnecessary or even impractical.
Also make sure before purchase that 30 mm tube diameter and 40 mm center height really fit. A mounting error cannot be “corrected away” by later zeroing.

Technical data with practical interpretation

Tube diameter 30 mm – mandatory compatibility specification.

Inclination 20 MOA – for deliberately planned additional elevation reserve.

Center height 40 mm from base to optical centre – important for head position and objective clearance.

Design Extended Cantilever – optics position moved forward.

Interface For Picatinny-oriented mounting according to existing product data.

FAQ about the 30 mm / 20 MOA mount
What does 20 MOA do? The inclination can shift the usable elevation adjustment range more favourably for longer distances. Whether this makes sense depends on the optic, zero point, and engagement distance.
Does the mount fit a 34 mm scope? No. This version is intended for 30 mm main tubes.
How high is the optic mounted? According to existing data, the optical axis is 40 mm above the base.
Why Cantilever instead of single rings? The cantilever geometry can create additional forward offset for eye relief and combines both rings in one unit.

Black Raptor · honestly assessed
This mount is strong if exactly three points fit: 30 mm, 40 mm height, and 20 MOA requirement. Anyone who only guesses one of these risks an expensive bad purchase. Those who consciously need it get a clear solution for forward offset and distance reserve. (Show description in original language)

30 mm · 20 MOA · Cantilever

Was bringt 20 MOA?

Black Raptor · ehrlich eingeordnet
