MTU048SEM is the long Arwen variant for AR-15 builds where support hand reach and lots of usable mounting space are more important than an ultra-compact front end.
Who the 17″ variant fits
Fits well
For longer AR-15 configurations with near-standard Mil-Spec forged upper geometry, when a lot of M-LOK and Picatinny space should be used purposefully.
Fits rather not
For the shortest or front-light builds, untested billet uppers, or if you have a barrel diameter above the manufacturer's barrel nut limit.
