Ballistol Cartridge Chamber Brush: .223, .300 AAC or .308 – not just “should fit” The brush is specifically designed for cleaning the cartridge chamber and adjacent areas. The shop offers three variants: .223 / 5.56×45, .300 AAC / 7.62×35 and .308 / 7.62×51.
Decisive for purchase: Choose the right variant according to the actual cartridge chamber. A cartridge chamber brush is not a universal barrel tool.
Our honest assessment
The cartridge chamber is often overlooked during routine maintenance, even though residues accumulate there that are not always well reached with a normal patch. A suitable brush is therefore useful if you consciously treat chamber and barrel as separate cleaning areas.
The advantage is targeted mechanical cleaning. The limit is just as clear: wrong caliber, wrong guidance or unnecessary force turn a simple care part into a bad purchase.

.300 AAC / 7.62×35 Separate variant for .300 AAC. The cartridge chamber of the firearm is decisive, not just the platform.
.308 / 7.62×51 For the larger .308 / 7.62×51 range. Do not apply to smaller chambers.
Mechanical chamber cleaning The brush loosens residues where a patch alone has less direct contact. Then cleanly remove the loosened dirt.
Limits, disadvantages and avoiding wrong purchases
