Recknagel Lever Mount DOCTER Sauer 303/404 – Mount Red Dot quickly and system-matched
On Sauer 303 or Sauer 404, a red dot sight doesn’t have to be mounted improvised. The Recknagel Lever Mount DOCTER Sauer 303/404 is a system-specific solution for compact red dot sights on Sauer systems – with versions for older Sauer 303 and for Sauer 303/404.
It’s especially interesting for driven hunt, tracking, and fast hunting situations where a low, solid, and quickly removable red dot setup is more useful than a big optic.
Why this Sauer-DOCTER lever mount?
✔ system-specific versions for Sauer 303 and Sauer 303/404
✔ for DOCTER/Noblex-/compatible red dot sights depending on footprint
✔ lever mount for quick removal without tools
✔ hunting practical for driven hunt, tracking, and fast target acquisition
✔ Recknagel manufacturing for professional optic mounting
Why this mount?
A red dot sight on a semi-auto or bolt-action rifle must sit low, solid, and be quickly targetable. Especially with Sauer systems, the correct system version is crucial – particularly because there are differences between Sauer 303 up to model year 2018 and Sauer 303/404.
You mount a mini red dot system-specific on Sauer 303/404.
You avoid unsuitable universal adapters.
You can quickly remove the sight via lever.
You keep your driven hunt setup compact and fast.
Versions – Sauer 303 or Sauer 303/404?
Here the version choice is especially important. Check if your firearm is a Sauer 303 up to model year 2018 or a Sauer 303/404 system.
for Sauer 303 (up to model year 2018) – SKU 47635-001R-1
for Sauer 303 / 404 – SKU 47635-003A
Practical scenario: driven hunt and tracking
When shooting fast at short range, you don’t want to search through a big reticle. A low-mounted red dot helps you keep both eyes open and acquire the target faster. The mount must fit exactly – otherwise you lose the advantage.

Tracking users: if a lightweight, direct sight picture is needed.
Important mounting note
Mounts are precision components. Before purchase, firearm system, rail/prism size, tube diameter, height, and optic interface must fit exactly.
Clean mounting surfaces from grease, tighten screws according to manufacturer/gunsmith instructions, and check point of impact after mounting. This text does not replace professional mounting inspection.
FAQ
Why are there two versions?
Because Sauer 303 up to model year 2018
and Sauer 303/404 can have different requirements for the mount. The variant must fit the system.
Is this a Picatinny mount?
No, this product group is system-specific for Sauer 303/404, not a general Picatinny rail solution.
For which optics is it intended?
For DOCTER-/Noblex- or compatible mini red dot footprints depending on the version. Check the footprint of your optic before ordering.
