The Hornady Lock-N-Load OAL Gauge modified cartridge case "B" for 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser was developed for reloaders who want to precisely match their loadings to the chamber of their rifle. In combination with the Hornady Lock-N-Load O.A.L. gauge, it enables the exact determination of the optimal overall cartridge length (O.A.L.) as well as the individual bullet distance to the lands of the barrel.
The modified measuring case is screwed onto the OAL gauge with thread size B and features a specially machined case neck with a slightly enlarged inner diameter. This allows the inserted bullet to move freely and precisely capture the transition cone of the barrel. The result is reproducible measurements and a reliable basis for developing precise reload loadings.
The measuring case is made of high-quality brass and is characterized by high dimensional accuracy and consistent fit.
