Die 1917 vorgestellte 7x64 ist die meistgeführte jagdliche Büchsenpatrone im mitteleuropäischen Raum. Sie wurde aus der bereits 1892 eingeführten 7x57 entwickelt. Sie eignet sich für jegliches Schalenwild. Mit dem 10,7 g schweren GECO Teilmantel-Geschoss, sowie dem 10,0 g GECO Express und dem 11,0 g GECO Plus wird sie im jaglichen Einsatz in Mitteleuropa zur Allroundpatrone. 2015 führte GECO das bleifreie Geschoss GECO ZERO mit 8,2 g in diesem Kaliber ein. Für das jagdliche Übungsschießen eignet sich das GECO Target-Geschoss.
