The Firestick is an outdoor igniter of the extra class. Simply rub a piece of metal with pressure and higher speed from top to bottom over the fire steel, and the sparks will start flying. These should fall onto a tinder and ignite it, e.g., with tinder like fatwood, birch bark, or cotton. A great companion in the wilderness that should not be missing from any adventure backpack. Nothing stands in the way of a decent campfire. The fire steel is good for several thousand ignitions and works even in wet and cold conditions. By the way: The sticks are handmade in the small manufactory of Der Werkkiste. After some ignition attempts, the dark coating will show silver traces, but the sticks will continue to function perfectly. The handle is made from a piece of local branch wood with bark and is a unique item. Der Firestick ist ein Outdoor-Anzünder der Extraklasse. Einfach mit einem Stück Metall mit Druck und höherer Geschwindigkeit von oben nach unten über den Feuerstahl reiben und schon beginnen die Funken zu fliegen. Diese sollten auf einen Anzünder fallen und entzünden diesen, z.B. mit Zunder wie Kienspan, Birkenrinde oder auch Watte. Ein toller Begleiter in der Wildnis, der in keinem Abenteuer Rucksack fehlen darf. So steht einem anständigen Lagerfeuer nichts im Wege. Der Zündstahl reicht für mehrere tausend Zündungen und funktioniert auch bei Nässe und Kälte. Übrigens: Die Sticks werden in Der Werkkisten-kleinen Manufaktur in Handarbeit hergestellt.Nach einigen Zündversuchen wird die dunkle Beschichtung silberne Spuren aufweisen, die Sticks funktionieren dann aber weiterhin einwandfrei. Der Griff besteht aus einem Stück heimischen Astholz mit Rinde und ist ein Unikat. Maße Länge Feuerstahl: ca. 5 cm Länge Griff: ca. 6,5 cm Material Griff: heimisches Astholz mit Rinde Achtung: Benutzung nur unter Aufsicht von Erwachsenen. Und bitte darauf achten: Wenn man ein Feuer macht, ist man auch dafür verantwortlich, es im Zaum zu halten. Zum Löschen der Glut ist reichlich Wasser nötig – oft viel mehr, als man denkt. Anschließend sollte man die Hand in die Asche stecken können, ohne sich zu verbrennen.
