Ultimate is known for springs of the highest quality. The springs of the TOP series are made from hardened EN 10270-2 CR-SI FD steel with a strength of 2081/2134 N/mm² and are hardened at 400°C. To achieve a perfect grip of the springs, the contact surfaces have been ground accordingly and feature a self-centering design. An increase in energy is also achieved through the reduced spiral spacing, as is common with non-linear springs. Furthermore, this type of spring has the advantage that it does not load the first tooth of the piston as heavily as linear springs do. Ultimate treats its springs with GEOMET® 500, which is free from hydrogen and self-lubricating. Additionally, the spring thus achieves a salt spray resistance of at least 1,000 hours. Each individual spring is color-coded so that the spring strength can be determined without lengthy trial and error. The springs have been individually and manually subjected to a load test and have a tolerance of +/- 1.5 percent. The springs are tested with a special handheld measuring device, and the determined value of the spring strength is handwritten on the back of the spring. Ultimate ist bekannt für Federn höchster Qualität Die Federn der TOP-Serie werden aus gehärtetem EN 10270-2 CR-SI FD Stahl mit einer Festigkeit von 2081/2134 N/mm² hergestellt und bei 400°C gehärtet. Um einen perfekten Halt der Federn zu erreichen, wurden die Auflageflächen entsprechend angeschliffen und verfügen über ein selbstzentrierendes Design. Eine Verstärkung der Energie wird ebenso durch den verringerten Spiralabstand erreicht, so wie das bei Non-Linear Federn üblich ist. Ausserdem hat dieser Federntyp den Vorteil das er den ersten Zahn des Pistons nicht so stark belastet wie dies bei linearen Federn der Fall ist. Ultimate behandelt seine Federn mit GEOMET® 500 welches frei von Wasserstoff und selbstschmierend ist. Weiterhin erhält die Feder hierdurch eine Salznebelresistenz von mindestens 1.000 Stunden. Jede einzelne Feder ist farblich gekennzeichnet damit ohne langes herumprobieren die Federstärke ermittelt werden kann. Die Federn wurden einzeln und von Hand einem Belastungstest unterzogen und verfügen über eine Toleranz von +/- 1.5 Prozent. Die Federn werden mit einem speziellen Handmessgerät getestet und der ermittelte Wert der Federstärke wird handschriftlich auf der Rückseite der Feder vermerkt.
