Ultimate is known for springs of the highest quality. The springs of the TOP series are made from hardened EN 10270-2 CR-SI FD steel with a strength of 2081/2134 N/mm² and are hardened at 400°C. To achieve a perfect grip of the springs, the contact surfaces have been ground accordingly and feature a self-centering design. An increase in energy is also achieved through the reduced spiral spacing, as is common with non-linear springs. Furthermore, this type of spring has the advantage that it does not load the first tooth of the piston as heavily as linear springs do. Ultimate treats its springs with GEOMET® 500, which is free from hydrogen and self-lubricating. Additionally, the spring thus achieves a salt spray resistance of at least 1,000 hours. Each individual spring is color-coded so that the spring strength can be determined without lengthy trial and error. The springs have been individually and manually subjected to a load test and have a tolerance of +/- 1.5 percent. The springs are tested with a special handheld measuring device, and the determined value of the spring strength is handwritten on the back of the spring. Delivery includes: 1 spring in the specified strength.
