The blade is made from German kitchen knife steel according to DIN WN 1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) and features a partial serrated edge. The handle, made from high-quality and acid-resistant plastic "polypropylene," is seamlessly molded onto the tang, as is customary for professional kitchen cutting tools for hygienic reasons.
