PIXFRA Taurus T650 – Thermal Imaging Attachment for Medium and Long Distances
The PIXFRA Taurus T650 is designed for hunting situations where range and detail recognition are crucial. The attachment combines a VOx sensor with 640×512 pixels, a 12 µm pitch, and a sensitivity of <18 mK NETD with a powerful 50 mm f1.0 lens. This allows for the reliable detection of heat signatures even at greater distances. The detection range of up to 2600 m makes the T650 particularly interesting for field areas, wide clearings, and open sitting situations.
A central feature is the sub-pixel zeroing technology with an ultra-fine click value of 0.9 cm at 100 m. This facilitates precise sighting and ensures a reproducible point of impact. The attachment has an M52×0.75 thread and is shockproof up to 6000 Joules, designed for practical use on hunting firearms.
The field of view of 15.4 m horizontally and 12.3 m vertically at 100 m is intentionally narrower than that of classic forest devices and supports detailed observation at medium to long distances. The Taurus T650 can be used on target optics with up to 10x magnification. The display is provided by an OLED screen with 1920×1080 pixels, which clearly separates contrasts and accurately depicts structures.
Operation is quiet and intuitive. A 3-button layout combined with an ergonomic focus dial allows for secure handling for both left- and right-handed users. Alternatively, the device can be controlled via a Bluetooth remote, which can be attached directly to the stock or optics using a magnetic holder.
For image processing, the T650 operates with the PIPS 2.0 firmware. Improved zoom, noise reduction, and edge sharpening ensure a stable image. This is complemented by the AI-supported adaptive image calibration AAIC, which continuously optimizes the image. Depending on the situation, 6 color palettes are available. The hotspot tracking feature aids in quickly detecting and maintaining focus on heat sources.
The housing made of lightweight magnesium alloy is dust and waterproof according to IP67 and is designed for temperatures ranging from -30 °C to +55 °C. A replaceable 18650 battery provides up to 6 hours of runtime, and two batteries are included in the package. For documentation and follow-up, there is 32 GB of internal storage for photo and video recordings, as well as a stable WLAN live stream to a smartphone or tablet.

Das PIXFRA Taurus T650 ist für jagdliche Situationen ausgelegt, in denen Reichweite und Detailerkennung entscheidend sind. Das Vorsatzgerät kombiniert einen VOx-Sensor mit 640×512 Pixeln, 12 µm Pitch und einer Empfindlichkeit von <18 mK NETD mit einem leistungsstarken 50 mm f1.0 Objektiv. Dadurch lassen sich Wärmesignaturen auch auf größeren Distanzen sicher erkennen. Die Entdeckungsdistanz von bis zu 2600 m macht das T650 besonders interessant für Feldreviere, weite Schneisen und offene Ansitzsituationen.
Ein zentrales Merkmal ist die Sub-Pixel-Zeroing-Technologie mit einem ultrafeinen Klickwert von 0,9 cm auf 100 m. Das erleichtert das präzise Einschießen und sorgt für eine reproduzierbare Treffpunktlage. Das Vorsatzgerät verfügt über ein M52×0,75 Gewinde und ist stoßfest bis 6000 Joule, ausgelegt für den praxisnahen Einsatz auf jagdlichen Waffen.

Das Taurus T650 ist auf Zieloptiken mit bis zu 10-facher Vergrößerung nutzbar. Die Darstellung erfolgt über ein OLED-Display mit 1920×1080 Pixeln, das Kontraste klar trennt und Strukturen sauber abbildet.
Die Bedienung ist leise und intuitiv. Ein 3-Tasten-Layout in Kombination mit einem ergonomischen Fokusdrehknopf erlaubt eine sichere Handhabung für Links- und Rechtshänder. Alternativ lässt sich das Gerät über die Bluetooth-Fernbedienung steuern, die per Magnethaftschale direkt am Schaft oder an der Optik fixiert werden kann.
Für die Bildverarbeitung arbeitet das T650 mit der PIPS 2.0 Firmware. Verbesserter Zoom, Rauschreduzierung und Kantenschärfung sorgen für ein ruhiges Bild. Ergänzt wird dies durch die KI-unterstützte adaptive Bildkalibrierung AAIC, die das Bild kontinuierlich optimiert. Je nach Situation stehen 6 Farbpaletten zur Verfügung.
