Like many other bullets, the VLD Target bullet features a secant ogive design that significantly reduces air resistance on the way to the target. This lower air resistance results in a flatter trajectory, less wind drift, and a higher remaining velocity than other bullets. Berger VLD Target bullets are particularly popular for competitions at long distances. They are made from the high-precision J4 Precision bullet jacket, which is preferred by manufacturers of custom rifle bullets.
