The weapon introduced in 1908 was the first successful German .25Auto pistol and the first pistol designed by Carl Walther and his son Fritz.
A simple blowback striker pistol with a simple design, often referred to as Model 1909.
Do not confuse this with Walther's designation Model 9, which was only introduced in 1921.
