Norma ORYX - optimized for suppressors and short barrels
Suppressors and short barrels are becoming increasingly popular. But few shooters know that a short barrel drastically reduces the effectiveness and precision of the ammunition.
Conventional rifle ammunition is typically loaded according to industry standards. The regulations set by the CIP require that ammunition be tested with barrels of standard length. Typically, this is 61 cm for standard ammunition and 65 cm for magnum calibers.
The shortening of the barrel affects the performance of the projectiles:
They become slower, which affects energy and precision
Muzzle pressure increases, which also affects precision as well as recoil and the lifespan of the suppressor
The muzzle flash is brighter and impairs the use of night vision devices
More corrosion-promoting residues remain in the barrel and suppressor, shortening the lifespan of the suppressor
With the NORMA Silencer Series, these problems have been solved in one go. The ammunition has been optimized to achieve significantly better results with short barrels and suppressors.

Schalldämpfer und kurze Läufe werden immer beliebter. Aber nur wenige Schützen wissen, dass ein kurzer Lauf die Wirkung und Präzision der Munition drastisch verringert.
Herkömmliche Büchsenmunition wird normalerweise nach branchenüblichen Standards geladen.Die von der CIP aufgestellten Vorschriften verlangen, dass Munition mit Läufen in Standardlänge getestet wird. In der Regel sind das 61 cm für Standardmunition und 65 cm für Magnum-Kaliber.
