The .30-06 is probably the most popular universal caliber, with which all types of game on Earth have certainly been hunted.

The effective range of the cartridge, which can be equipped with RWS bullets from 9.7 g to 13.0 g, extends up to about 300 m. The cartridge was developed in 1903 and received its final dimensions in 1906, the year it was also introduced as the standard cartridge in the USA ('Ball Cartridge, Caliber .30, Model of 1906'). The cartridge quickly became very popular as a hunting and sporting cartridge. The .30-06 Springfield is also well shootable by recoil-sensitive shooters.

Therefore, RWS has developed the Short Rifle, a cartridge specifically optimized for use from short barrels. In practice, this means: shooting from short barrels without loss of performance.

The streamlined bullet shape of the RWS SPEED TIP PROFESSIONAL ends at the front with the Speed-Tip bullet tip, which ensures low air resistance and thus an extremely flat trajectory. Even at long shooting distances, the innovative bullet tip allows for precise shots and maximum terminal effect. At the rear, the bullet shape culminates in a V-Tail rear, which also contributes to precision and flight stability over long distances due to its shape.

Tailored to the wide range of applications, the new bullet SPEED TIP PROFESSIONAL is developed with a 2-core construction made of lead, based on the proven H-jacket principle:

A slightly softer, quickly responsive front core and a penetrating, harder rear core. The nickel-plated flow steel jacket additionally ensures high shape stability of the remaining body and guarantees a safe exit with blood trail even with larger game!
