Many hunters, especially in mixed low and high game areas, appreciate the ability to use two different bullet calibers in one weapon. The upper, smaller barrel of the BS 95 or BS 97 is mounted in a carrier tube and can be precisely adjusted to the lower barrel.
Single lock or double lock? You have the choice!
Combined hunting rifles of the model series 95 are equipped with a single lock, while combined weapons of the model series 97 have two locks. This means that there are two firing pins and two firing springs in the system. Both systems have their justification.
The advantage of the 95 system lies in its smoother operation, as only one firing spring is tensioned. Thus, the weapon is automatically relaxed after each individual shot, making it very safe.
The advantage of the 97 system is that, in case of need, a second shot can be fired very quickly without re-tensioning. Therefore, the 97 system is especially useful for the hunter who often wants to take advantage of the opportunity for quick doubles.

Viele Jäger vor allem in gemischten Nieder-und Hochwild revieren schätzen die Möglichkeit zwei unterschiedliche Kugelkaliber in einer Waffe führen zu können. Der obere, kleinere Lauf des BS 95 bzw. BS97 liegt in einem Trägerrohr und kann exakt zum unteren Lauf justiert werden.
Einschloss oder Doppelschloss? Sie haben die Wahl!
Kombinierte Jagdwaffen der Modellreihe 95 sind mit einem Schloss ausgestattet, kombinierte Waffen der Modellreihe 97 dagegen mit zwei Schlossen. Das heißt, im System befinden sich zwei Schlagstücke und zwei Schlagfedern. Beide Systeme haben ihre Berechtigung.
Der Vorteil des Systems 95 liegt in einer leichtgängigeren Bedienung, da nur eine Schlagfeder gespannt wird. Somit ist die Waffe nach jeder einzelnen Schussabgabe auch automatisch wieder entspannt und damit sehr sicher.
Der Vorteil des Systems 97 liegt darin, dass im Fall der Fälle ein zweiter Schuss ohne erneutes Nachspannen sehr schnell abgegeben werden kann. Das System 97 ist deshalb vor allem für den Jäger sinnvoll, der die Gelegenheit zu schnellen Doubletten häufig nutzen möchte.
