The Melior New Model Type III is a semi-automatic pistol that was manufactured in Belgium by the company Robar & de Kerkhove. It belongs to a series of Melior pistols that were designed as an affordable alternative to well-known models such as the FN 1906. The Melior pistols went through several stages of development. The New Model Type III, which probably appeared in the 1920s or 1930s, implemented improvements in ergonomics and reliability. It is an evolution of the earlier Melior models, with a revised slide and improved handling. The Melior has a Belgian proof mark.

Die Melior New Modell Typ III ist eine halbautomatische Pistole, die in Belgien von der Firma Robar & de Kerkhove hergestellt wurde. Sie gehört zu einer Reihe von Melior-Pistolen, die als günstige Alternative zu bekannten Modellen wie der FN 1906 konzipiert wurde. Die Melior-Pistolen durchliefen mehrere Entwicklungsstufen. Beim New Modell Typ III, der wahrscheinlich in den 1920er- oder 1930er-Jahren erschien, wurden Verbesserungen in der Ergonomie und Zuverlässigkeit umgesetzt. Es handelt sich um eine Weiterentwicklung der früheren Melior-Modelle, mit einem überarbeiteten Schlitten und verbesserter Handhabung. Die Melior hat einen belgischen Beschuss.
