Melior New Model Type III

The Melior New Model Type III is a semi-automatic pistol that was manufactured in Belgium by the company Robar & de Kerkhove. It belongs to a series of Melior pistols that were designed as an affordable alternative to well-known models such as the FN 1906. The Melior pistols went through several stages of development. The New Model Type III, which probably appeared in the 1920s or 1930s, implemented improvements in ergonomics and reliability. It is an evolution of the earlier Melior models, with a revised slide and improved handling. The Melior has a Belgian proof mark.
