The P80 pistol from Glock is being released as a special edition to celebrate the 40th anniversary in its original version, which was designed for the Austrian Army.
With the P80, Gaston Glock developed a novel pistol in the early 1980s that distinguished itself from other pistol manufacturers thanks to its polymer frame and Safe Action® system, eventually being adopted by the Austrian Army. Under the designation Glock 17, it also saw use as a service weapon and in the field of competitive shooting.
The P80 is a semi-automatic pistol in 9 mm Luger caliber with a full-size frame. The pistol is delivered with two 17-round magazines and a magazine loading aid.

Die Pistole P80 von Glock erscheint anlässlich des 40. Jubiläums als Sonderausgabe in der Originalversion, die für das österreichische Heer konzipiert wurde.
Mit der P80 entwickelte Gaston Glock zu Beginn der 1980er Jahre eine neuartige Pistole, die sich dank ihres Polymerrahmens und des Safe Action® Systems gegen andere Pistolenhersteller durchsetzte und schließlich beim österreichischen Heer zum Einsatz kam. Unter der Bezeichnung Glock 17 folgte auch die Verwendung als Dienstwaffe und im Bereich des Sportschießens.
Bei der P80 handelt es sich um eine halbautomatische Selbstladepistole im Kaliber 9 mm Luger mit Full-Size-Rahmen. Geliefert wird die Pistole mit zwei 17-Schuss-Magazinen sowie mit einer Magazin-Ladehilfe.
