The 50 mm objective perfectly fills the gap between the larger but heavier 56 mm objective and the smaller 42 mm objective with lower light-gathering capability. With its 1.8x exit magnification, the optics are also suitable for driven hunts.

Das Magnus 1,8-12x50i-Zielfernrohr von Leica – hier mit Schiene – hat ein sehr feines L-4a-Absehen, das das Ziel kaum verdeckt. Die Helligkeit ist in einem Tag- und Nachtmodus in über 60 Stufen einstellbar. Mit dem enormen Sehfeld von 22,5-3,7 m auf 100 m verliert man auch die Umgebung nicht aus den Augen und die Transmission von 92 % sorgt für ein gutes Ansprechen bis tief in die Dämmerung hinein.
