An 8-shot rotary magazine sits in the locking system and is propelled by a 12g CO2 capsule with over 5 Joules from the rifled barrel. This guarantees the CP88 Competition a clean and more precise feeding of the diabolo pellets into the rifled barrel. The Competition barrel extracts the last precision reserves from the Walther CP88. It guides the diabolo 143 mm instead of 90 mm.

CO2 weapons with an energy over 0.5 Joules are subject to the Weapons Act and must have an "F" marking in a pentagon. The acquisition, possession, and transport of the weapons are permitted for adults. However, they are subject to the carrying ban (§42 a WaffG).

Ein 8-schüssiges Trommelmagazin sitzt im Verschlusssystem und wird mittels 12g CO2 Kapsel mit über 5 Joule aus dem gezogenen Lauf befördert. So garantiert es der CP88 Competition eine saubere und präzisere Zuführung der Diabolos in den gezogenen Lauf. Der Competition-Lauf entlockt der Walther CP88 letzte Präzisionsreserven. Durch ihn wird das Diabolo 143 mm statt 90 mm geführt.
