The Walther ProSecur Bear Defender is currently the strongest civil available animal defense spray. This is made possible by the use of 2% Major Capsaicinoids – typically, civil and law enforcement pepper-based defense sprays contain between 0.18% and 1.33% of the five main active ingredients (Major Capsaicinoids). The stable retaining ring on the valve head of the bottle features a fluorescent safety slider (for quick access in the dark) and makes the impressive pressure of the conical "jet spray" stream, which has a range of up to 10 m, manageable.
This defense power package, with its remarkable filling volume of 225 ml, is delivered with a high-quality holster and is thus always at hand. The latest generation of ProSecur sprays and gels, identifiable by the printed nano symbol, contains mixed invisible nano-particles with a dye that is only visible under ultraviolet light (UV), which can be detected for up to two weeks with a simple UV lamp. A perpetrator is thus marked in a way that is not recognizable to them. This reduces the risk for the victim compared to conventional immediately visible marking substances, as a "caught" and visibly colored perpetrator often tends to panic reactions.
