Helmet of Robert Bruce early 14th century made of 1.6 mm steel and adorned with a riveted brass crown including chain mail.

The 4-in-1 chain mesh consists of 1.6 mm thick, unriveted round steel rings with an inner diameter of approximately 9 mm. A punched leather strip is firmly sewn to the removable mail, which is attached at the lower edge of the helmet via a so-called Vervelles and secured with a thin leather cord. This allows the helmet mail to be removed or reattached. The inside is blackened and equipped with a thin adjustable leather inlay, the adjustable chin strap made of brown leather is fitted with a brass buckle with an antique finish.

Helm von Robert Bruce frühes 14. Jahrhundert aus 1,6 mm Stahl gefertigt und mit einer aufgenieteten Messingkrone verziert inklusive Kettenbrünne.

Das 4-in-1 Kettengeflecht besteht aus 1,6 mm starken, unvernieteten runden Stahlringen mit einem Innendurchmesser von ca. 9 mm. An die abnehmbare Brünne ist ein gestanzter Lederstreifen fest angenäht, welcher am unteren Helmrand über ein sogenanntes Vervelles angebracht und mit einer dünnen Lederschnur gesichert wird. So lässt sich die Helmbrünne entfernen oder wieder anbringen. Die Innenseite ist geschwärzt und mit einem dünnen verstellbaren Lederinlay versehen, der justierbare Kinnriemen aus braunem Leder ist mit einer Schnalle aus Messing mit Antik-Finish ausgestattet
