Semi-automatic pistol Walther P38 caliber 9mm Luger very early war production.
The weapon has the serial number 796a, which means it was part of the first production batch (a) and is thus one of the 1000 weapons of the first series produced.
The weapon is completely matching except for the magazine.
In general, only 6000 weapons were produced in 1940, and this is number 796.
The low serial number indicates that it was manufactured in July/August 1940.
The weapon features several Wehrmacht acceptance stamps: WaA 359 (see pictures).
The Walther P38 is one of the service pistols of the German Wehrmacht and was introduced in 1938 and first produced in series in 1940.
It was intended as a replacement for the P08. By the end of the war, approximately 1.2 million pieces were manufactured.
The weapon presented is still in its original condition with slight signs of use and carry.
*The only function that is not operational is the decocking function of the safety. The safety itself works.
It was produced after the end of the war still under the designation P38 before the introduction of the P1.
The weapon does not have a reproof stamp, thus it can only be acquired by collectors and authorized firearms dealers.

Halbautom. Pistole Walther P38 Kaliber 9mmLuger sehr frühe Kriegsfertigung.
Die Waffe hat die Seriennummer 796a, was bedeutet das sie im ersten Fertigungslos (a) dabei war und somit eine der 1000 Waffen der ersten Serienproduzierten Waffen ist.
Die Waffe ist, bis auf das Magazin komplett Nummerngleich.
Im allgemeinen wurden im Jahr 1940 nur 6000 Waffen hergstellt und diese ist die Nr. 796.
DIe Niedrige Seriennummer weißt darauf hin dass sie im Juli/ August 1940 gefertigt wurde.
Die Waffe verfügt über mehrere Wehrmachtsabnahmestempel: WaA 359 (Siehe Bilder)
Die Walther P38 gehört zu den Dienstpistolen der deutschen Wehrmacht und wurde 1938 eingeführt und 1940 zum ersten mal in Serie produziert.
Sie war als Ersatz für die P08 gedacht. Bis Ende des Krieges wurden ca. 1,2 Millionen Stück hergestellt.
Die vorliegende Waffe befindet sich noch in ihrem orginalen Zustand mit leichten Gebrauchs- und Tragespuren.
*Die einzige Funktion die nicht gegeben ist, ist die Entspannfunktion der Sicherung. Die Sicherung selbst funktioniert.
Sie wurde nach Kriegsende noch unter der Bezeichnung P38 vor der Einführung der P1 produziert.
Die Waffe hat keinen Neubeschussstempel, somit ist Sie nur für Sammler und Waffenhandelsberechtigten zu erwerben.
