The Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 is a high-quality revolver designed for the .357 Magnum cartridge, but it can also fire .38 Special. The barrel length is 12.7 cm (5 inches) and the cylinder capacity is 6 rounds. This revolver is considered one of the highest quality models in the "N-Frame" revolver series from Smith & Wesson. It features a Karl Niell grip and the typical checkered pattern on the cylinder release and rear sight. The weapon is equipped with an LPA sight, which allows for precise shooting. The 27-2 is often sought after by collectors due to its excellent craftsmanship and precision. The proof mark was received by the revolver in 1977 at the proof house in Ulm. According to the serial number, it was manufactured in 1976.

Der Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 ist ein hochwertiger Revolver, der für die Patrone .357 Magnum ausgelegt ist, aber auch .38 Special verschießen kann. Die Lauflänge beträgt 12,7 cm (5 Zoll) und die Trommelkapazität beträgt 6 Schuss. Dieser Revolver gilt als eines der hochwertigsten Modelle der „N-Frame“ Revolverreihe von Smith & Wesson. Sie besitzt einen Karl Niell-Griff und das typische Fischgräten-Muster an der Trommel-Entriegelung und der Kimme. Die Waffe wurde mit einem LPA-Visier ausgestattet, welches präzises Schießen ermöglicht. Die 27-2 wird oft von Sammlern gesucht, da sie für ihre hervorragende Verarbeitung und Präzision bekannt ist. Den Beschuß erhielt der Revolver im Jahre 1977 im Beschußamt Ulm. Laut Seriennummer wurde sie im Jahre 1976 hergestellt.
