Woolpower UllfrottéDurable, textile material made from fine merino wool with nylon/polyester content – and a lot, a lot of air. It consists of 80% air. This is a knitted terry fabric, with one side being smooth and the other side made of terry loops. The airy terry loops combined with the crimp structure of the wool create a jersey knit that traps a lot of air, resulting in very good insulation properties. The thicker the layer of air next to the body, the less body heat can escape. Ullfrotté is knitted on specially designed circular knitting machines as a tube with varying diameters, completely without seams that could chafe or come undone.
These thicker garments are designed as a mid-layer – to optimize thermal insulation between the "skin-tight" functional underwear and the outer layer. It is particularly used in lower temperatures or during calmer activities. With a reinforced collar and a continuous zipper. The extended back section prevents cold from entering. Woolpower UllfrottéVerschleißfestes, textiles Material aus feiner Merinowolle mit Polyamid-/Polyesteranteil – und viel, viel Luft. Es besteht zu 80% aus Luft. Dabei handelt es sich um eine gestrickte Frotteeware, wobei die eine Seite glatt gestrickt ist und die andere Seite aus Frotteeschlingen besteht. Die luftigen Frotteeschlingen in Kombination mit der Kräuselstruktur der Wolle bilden einen Trikotstrick, der sehr viel Luft bindet, wodurch das sehr gute Isolationsvermögen entsteht. Je dicker die Luftschicht am Körper, desto weniger Körperwärme kann entweichen. Ullfrotté wird auf eigens dafür hergestellten Rundstrickmaschinen als Schlauch mit unterschiedlichen Durchmessern gestrickt, völlig ohne Nähte, die scheuern oder aufgehen könnten.
Diese dickeren Kleidungsstücke sind als mittlere Schicht konzipiert – zur Optimierung der Wärmeisolation zwischen der „hautnahen” Funktionsunterwäsche und der äußeren Schicht. Kommt insbesondere bei niedrigeren Temperaturen oder ruhigeren Aktivitäten zum Einsatz. Mit verstärktem Kragen und durchgängigem Reißverschluss.
