LEE Factory Crimp Dies
With the Factory Crimp Die from LEE, you have the ability to crimp the case mouth of the finished cartridge to secure the bullet in the case. This is important for powerful calibers and semi-automatics. In bottle-neck cases, the first 1-2mm of the case mouth is pressed into the bullet or the crimp groove using a crimp claw. The pressing force can be finely adjusted by changing the die body. It is important to have a uniform and correct case length to ensure consistent extraction resistance. The crimp corresponds to that of a factory cartridge. In cylindrical handgun cases, the case mouth is crimped either with a taper crimp for pistol cartridges or a roll crimp for revolver cartridges. A hardened insert ensures a firm bullet seat, and an additional carbide sizing ring smooths out any raised material. The bullet seat is significantly firmer than with other crimp dies. Even with the strongest magnum revolver loads, the bullets are securely held in the case.

LEE Factory Crimp Matrizen
Mit der Factory Crimp Matrize von LEE haben Sie die Möglichkeit, an der fertig geladenen Patrone den Hülsenmund zu Crimpen, um das Geschoss in der Hülse festzusetzen. Das ist wichtig bei starken Kalibern und Selbstladern. Bei Flaschenhülsen werden über eine Crimpklaue die ersten 1-2mm des Hülsenmundes in das Geschoss, bzw. in die Crimprille gepresst. Der Pressdruck kann durch Verstellen des Matrizenkörpers fein justiert werden. Wichtig ist eine gleichmäßige und korrekte Hülsenlänge um einen gleichmäßigen Ausziehwiederstand zu sichern. Der Crimp entspricht dem, einer Fabrikpatrone. Bei zylindrischen Faustfeuerwaffenhülsen wird der Hülsenmund entweder über einen Tapercrimp für Pistolenpatronen oder einem Rollcrimp bei Revolverpatronen gecrimpt. Ein gehärteter Einsatz sorgt für den festen Geschoßsitz, ein zusätzlicher Hartmetall Kalibrierring glättet anschließend aufgeworfenes Material. Der Geschoßsitz ist deutlich fester, als bei anderen Crimpmatrizen. Selbst bei stärksten Magnum-Revolverladungen werden die Geschosse sicher in der Hülse gehalten.
