Quantum Optical System
VX-3HD riflescopes are manufactured according to Leupold's Quantum Optical System. This involves carefully selecting precision-ground, lead-free lenses; they receive the Xtended Twilight coating and are then positioned in optimal relation to each other to achieve the highest degree of light transmission and optical excellence. The outer lens surfaces receive the DiamondCoat 2 multi-coating. It exceeds military standards in terms of hardness and durability and supports light transmission to create a brighter and more contrast-rich image.
Leupold's second generation of waterproof sealing
In the construction, a new gas mixture of Argon and Krypton is used for the waterproof seal. The molecules of these gases are significantly larger than those of nitrogen. This significantly reduces the diffusion of gases in the riflescope compared to nitrogen filling.

Quantum Optical System
VX-3HD Zielfernrohre sind nach dem Quantum Optical System von Leupold gefertigt. Dazu werden präzisionsgeschliffene und bleifreie Linsen sorgfältig ausgewählt; sie erhalten die Xtended Twilight Beschichtung und werden dann in optimaler Beziehung zueinander positioniert, um den höchsten Grad an Lichtdurchlässigkeit und optischer Feinheit zu erreichen. Die außenliegenden Linsenoberflächen erhalten die Mehrfachvergütung DiamondCoat 2. Sie übertrifft Militärnormen in puncto Härte und Haltbarkeit und unterstützt die Lichtdurchlässigkeit, damit ein helleres und kontrastreicheres Bild entsteht.
Leupolds zweite Generation der Wasserabdichtung
Bei der Konstruktion wird ein neues Gasgemisch aus Argon und Krypton für die wasserdichte Versiegelung eingesetzt. Die Moleküle dieser Gase sind deutlich größer als bei Stickstoff. Die Diffusion von Gasen im Zielfernrohr wird damit gegenüber der Stickstofffüllung deutlich reduziert.
