The set includes a small-base resizing die and a taper crimp die. This calibrates the cases tighter than usual for improved functionality. The taper crimp ensures a secure bullet seat even with bullets that do not have a crimp groove. Die AR-Matrizenserie ist speziell für Selbstladewaffen entwickelt. Im Set ist eine Small-Base-Kalibriermatrize sowie eine Taper-Crimp-Matrize enthalten.
Hiermit werden die Hülsen zur Funktionsverbesserung enger als üblich kalibriert. Der Taper-Crimp garantiert einen festen Geschosssitz auch bei Geschossen ohne Crimprille.
Beulen am Hülsenmund, hervorgerufen durch unterschiedliche Hülsenlängen, wie sie beim Rollcrimpen entstehen können, werden hierdurch ebenfalls vermieden.
