The .222 Remington was introduced in 1950 and quickly became a favorite among many shooters and hunters. The "Triple Deuce" achieved much success as a benchrest caliber due to its inherent accuracy, and the combination of small caliber and high velocity made it an excellent choice for hunting pests of all kinds. Although the .222 Remington has lost popularity compared to calibers like the .223 Remington, it is still available from several rifle manufacturers and is just as powerful as ever. Please note that we have found that a customer with a T/C Contender chamber had a chamber that was below the SAAMI minimum and had issues with the base of our case, which is manufactured according to the mid SAAMI tolerances.
