It is a knitted terry fabric, with one side being smooth knitted and the other side made of terry loops. The airy terry loops combined with the crimp structure of the wool create a jersey knit that traps a lot of air, resulting in very good insulation properties. Woolpower UllfrottéVerschleißfestes, textiles Material aus feiner Merinowolle mit Polyamid-/Polyesteranteil – und viel, viel Luft. Es besteht zu 80% aus Luft. Dabei handelt es sich um eine gestrickte Frotteeware, wobei die eine Seite glatt gestrickt ist und die andere Seite aus Frotteeschlingen besteht. Die luftigen Frotteeschlingen in Kombination mit der Kräuselstruktur der Wolle bilden einen Trikotstrick, der sehr viel Luft bindet, wodurch das sehr gute Isolationsvermögen entsteht. Je dicker die Luftschicht am Körper, desto weniger Körperwärme kann entweichen.
