The Walther PDP Full Size V2 with new optics mounting platform.
PDP = Performance Duty Pistol
The pistol impresses with its distinctive appearance. Deep slide serrations can be found both at the front and rear of the slide. This ensures that the loading process remains secure in any weather. The completely redesigned grip features a pyramid-shaped texture (Performance Duty Texture) that contributes to outstanding handling. The grip backs available in various sizes (S, M, L) are also equipped with this texture. Not too sharp to cause pain during high series or to "snag" on clothing, but aggressive enough to achieve perfect grip at all times. The contoured shape at the end of the grip provides support for the little finger and aids in intuitive pointing.
All models in the PDP series have an ambidextrous slide stop lever, a reversible magazine button, and come optics ready with a milled slide top for various – optionally available – adapter plates for red dot sights from brands like Docter, Noblex, Meopta, Trijicon, Holosun, Riton, Axion, Leupold, SIG Sauer, Vortex, or Burris Fast Fire series.
The new optics mounting platform is characterized by the modified cut-out for the mounting plate. This is 2 mm longer than before, allowing for the mounting of all currently common red dot sights. Additionally, the new features include recoil lugs and larger screw cutouts. This makes it possible to use the original mounting screws from the optics manufacturers for installation.
For those who prefer to aim in the "classic" way using sights, this can be done with GLOCK-compatible sights. A co-witness sighting is possible. The standard sights are adjustable for windage and elevation right out of the box. Additional practical accessories can be attached to the Picatinny rail.
The trigger breaks at the pressure point like glass with a trigger weight of 25 N. The short reset allows for consistent top performance from shot to shot. Together, these features create the conditions for controlled hitting and safe trigger management in any situation and from shot to shot.
The result of the perfected grip angle and the interplay of overall weight, weight distribution, and balance is the excellent pointing behavior. The weapon intuitively follows the line of sight of the target eye.
The stepped chamber provides significantly better guidance and thus less fouling of the polygonal barrel.
Optics Ready
Every PDP is made for red dot sights. Deeply integrated into the slide, the excellent pointing behavior of the PDP can be fully utilized. The simultaneous use of co-witness sights is possible. This allows the dot of the optical sight to be quickly and unconsciously acquired. Thanks to the special design of the slide piece, red dots can be integrated almost seamlessly. Additionally, the special shape at the end of the grip provides support for the little finger and aids in instinctive pointing of the weapon – like an invisible control.
Modularity
The PDP is the most modular and versatile pistol that Walther has ever built: Picatinny rail, optics ready, side-swappable magazine holder, three barrel lengths, and two grip lengths with three backstraps each. This makes it perfectly prepared for any duty use. The open sights of the PDP use common mounting dimensions. When it comes to choosing sights, the accessory market offers virtually limitless possibilities. With a magazine funnel, the Performance Duty Pistol becomes a competitive athlete.
Reliability
In the stepped chamber, the casing is reliably guided. This allows the PDP to extract more muzzle energy from the ammunition and reduces fouling in the weapon. Thus, the pistol shoots the

Die Walther PDP Full Size V2 mit neuer Optik-Montageplattform.
PDP = Performance Duty Pistol
Die Pistole besticht durch ihr markantes Äußeres. Tiefe Durchladerillen finden sich sowohl vorne als auch hinten am Verschluss. Somit bleibt der Ladevorgang bei jeder Witterung eine sichere Angelegenheit. Das völlig neu gestaltete Griffstück verfügt über eine pyramidenförmige Textur (Performance Duty Texture) und trägt sein Übriges zum herausragenden Handling bei. Die in verschiedenen Größen (S, M, L) erhältlichen Griffrücken sind ebenfalls mit dieser Textur versehen. Nicht zu scharf um bei hohen Serien zu schmerzen oder an der Kleidung zu "reißen" aber aggressiv genug, um jederzeit perfekten Grip zu erreichen. Die ausgeschwungene Formgebung am Griffende gibt dem kleinen Finger Halt und unterstützt beim intuitiven Deuten.
Alle Modelle der PDP-Serie haben einen beidseitigen Verschlussfanghebel, einen umsteckbaren Magazinknopf und kommen Optics Ready mit ausgefräster Schlittenoberseite für verschiedene – optional erhältliche – Adapterplatten für Leuchtpunktvisiere der Marken Docter, Noblex, Meopta, Trijicon, Holosun, Riton, Axion, Leupold, SIG Sauer, Vortex oder Burris Fast Fire-Serie.
Die neue Optik-Montageplattform zeichnet sich durch den geänderten Cut-Out für die Montageplatte aus. Dieser ist um 2 mm länger als bisher und ermöglicht so die Montage von allen aktuell gängigen Rotpunktvisieren. Außerdem umfasst die neue Ausstattung Rückstoßstollen und größere Schraubenausschnitte. Damit ist es möglich, zur Montage die Original-Befestigungsschrauben der Optikhersteller zu verwenden.
Wer auf "klassische" Weise über Kimme und Korn zielen möchte kann dies über die zu GLOCK kompatiblen Visierungen tun. Eine Co-Witness-Visierung ist möglich. Die serienmäßige Visierung ist von Haus aus in Höhe und Seite justierbar. An der Picatinny-Schiene kann weiteres praktisches Zubehör angebracht werden.
Der Abzug bricht am Druckpunkt wie Glas mit einem Abzugsgewicht von 25 N. Der kurze Reset erlaubt gleichmäßige Top Performance von Schuss zu Schuss. Beides zusammen schafft die Voraussetzung für kontrolliertes Treffen und sichere Abzugsbeherrschung in jeder Situation und von Schuss zu Schuss.
Das Ergebnis aus perfektioniertem Griffwinkel und dem Zusammenspiel aus Gesamtgewicht, Gewichtsverteilung sowie Balance ist das exzellente Deutverhalten. Die Waffe folgt intuitiv der Sichtlinie des Zielauges.
Das gestufte Patronenlager sorgt für eine deutlich bessere Liderung und somit geringere Verschmutzung des Polygonlaufs.
Optics Ready
Jede PDP ist gemacht für Rotpunktvisiere. Tief in den Schlitten eingebracht, lässt sich das exzellente Deutverhalten der PDP voll nutzen. Die gleichzeitige Verwendbarkeit von co-witness sights ist möglich. Dadurch ist der Leuchtpunkt des optischen Visiers rasch und unbewusst aufnehmbar. Dank der besonderen Formgebung des Verschlussstücks lassen sich Red Dots nahezu nahtlos integrieren. Außerdem: Die besondere Formgebung am Griffende gibt dem kleinen Finger Halt und unterstützt beim instinktiven Deuten der Waffe – wie ein unsichtbares Steuer.
Modularität
Die PDP ist die modularste und vielseitigste Pistole die Walther je gebaut hat: Picatinny-Schiene, optics ready, seitlich wechselbarer Magazinhalter, drei Lauflängen und zwei Grifflängen mit jeweils drei Rückeneinlagen. Damit ist sie für jeden dienstlichen Einsatz bestens vorbereitet. Die offene Visierung der PDP verwendet gängige Anschlussmaße. Bei der Wahl der Visierung bietet der Zubehörmarkt nahezu grenzenlose Möglichkeiten. Mit einem Magazintrichter wird die Performance Duty Pistol zur Leistungssportlerin.
Zuverlässigkeit
Im gestuften Patronenlager lidert die Hülse zuverlässig. So holt die PDP mehr Mündungsenergie aus der Munition und reduziert den Schmauch in der Waffe. Damit schießt die PDP länger besser. PDP: „Made to be shot“!
