Vihtavuori N560The N560 rifle powder from Vihtavuori is particularly suitable for providing power to large and magnum calibers, such as .270 Winchester, 6.5-.284, 7 mm Remington Magnum, 7 mm Weatherby Magnum, and even the .416 Rigby. This rifle powder is also a very good choice for loading the .338 Lapua Magnum when lighter bullets of 250 grains or less are used. The N560 powder is a tubular powder with a fairly large grain size of 1.4 mm in length and 1.2 mm in diameter. The burn rate is slow compared to Vihtavuori rifle powders and falls between N160 and N165. The N560 is similar to the N100 series, but it has been supplemented with nitroglycerin to achieve a better energy content. The high-energy powders of the 500 series are primarily used in rifle cartridges where additional energy content is required...
